When fishing in Deer Lake it is hard to come in empty handed or at least with some sort of fish tale. You know that one that got away.
There are perch, small and large mouth bass, some catfish and pike (for those that are going for the big ones) in Deer Lake. Bass and Perch are most often located in the east end of the lake in the bay because of the shallower waters and weeds. While the west end is fairly deep with trenches holding huge pike.
You can purchase leeches and worms at the Lodge. Minnows are available in town at George's Pet Store. Tackle is sold at the town Hardware Store.
Boat Rentals are available at the Lodge
